In A World So Shallow

In a world so shallow,

It’s hard to swim at all.

But giving up is easy,

Life’s a puzzle to be solved.

I’m not the kind of girl,

Who you can cast aside.

Without a feeling of regret,

A longing you can’t hide.

Meeting you was coincidental,

It’s letting go that’s hard.

I don’t like to give up on anyone,

But you already played the cards.

Try to replace me,

I’ve left an imprint on your soul.

You’ll never find a girl like me,

The truth just has to be told.

I hate how we have ended,

But I can’t change your mind.

So I’ll walk away without looking back,

And wish that life will treat you kind.

Yes friends. I wrote that. It’s just something that’s been on my mind for a little while, and I finally took it, and did something with it. No, it’s not a very happy poem, but sometimes, life is going to suck, and this is what I do when it does. It’s not supposed to be depressing, so if you take it that way, than I’m sorry.
